K School (“K School,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides online Korean language and culture lessons. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Name, display name, email address, and country or region.
- Account and profile information you submit to K School.
- Messages or support requests you send to us.
Information collected through your use of K School
- Lesson progress, quiz results, PASS records, and enrollment status.
- Basic technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, and timestamps.
- Local browser storage used to remember lesson and card preferences.
Third-party login information
If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information that you authorize Google to share, such as your name and email address. We do not receive your Google password.
2. How We Use Information
- Create and manage your K School account and Student ID.
- Provide lessons, save progress, and manage course access.
- Confirm purchases, refunds, and enrollment status.
- Respond to support requests and important service notices.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud, improve K School, and comply with law.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. K School does not directly collect or store your full payment card number. Lemon Squeezy may provide us with order details such as your email address, product purchased, order identifier, payment status, and refund status. Its handling of payment information is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. Service Providers
We use service providers to operate K School, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and account services.
- Google for optional Google sign-in.
- Vercel for website hosting and delivery.
- Lemon Squeezy for checkout, payments, receipts, and refunds.
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Legal Bases and International Processing
Depending on where you live, we process information to perform our contract with you, based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing K School, with your consent where required, and to comply with law. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States.
6. Retention and Security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide K School, maintain required transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To make a request, contact us at korealab21@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Children
K School is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as K School evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
